The Edmundbyers charity tractor run is an annual event and attracts tractor enthusiasts from all over  the county.

The tractors, many decades old, gather on the field by The Baa before setting off on a ride out. This year they were heading to Allenheads in Northumberland, often travelling along little used fell tracks. They set off through the village and onto the Blanchland road. I wonder if our current guests saw them?

This year the sun shone and it was a scene of bright blue skies, shiny red tractors and sun hats.

The village of Edmundbyers has a great sense of community and many villagers turned out to wave the tractors off. Our neighbours at Hepple Hill Farm are the organisers and this year raised hundreds of pounds for the air ambulance.
