New amazing Wedding Venue next door to Hepple Hill Cottage!

Wedding venue at The Byirs

The Byirs is a new family run wedding destination overlooking Derwent Reservoir. It really is beautiful and this new wedding venue is next door to Hepple Hill.

I was lucky enough to have a look round and I absolutely loved the rustic styling with its touch of sophistication and sparkle.

The main entertaining space consists of a bar decorated in rich colours – the bar itself has amazing green tiles – but it gets better. Walk through the bar and you find yourself in  a new stone built extension with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the reservoir.

The rustic theme continues in this amazing reception space with beautiful wood tables and chairs and stone tiled walls. The view is stunning. In the summer the doors will be thrown back.  I really liked the contrast of the bar with its deep, rich colours and the light and airy dining room. The styling is a clever combination of simplicity and glamour.

The Ceremony space is by the water’s edge. There is a pagoda for outdoor weddings and a charming byre if the weather does not play ball! The wooden ceiling is spectacular and the owners have done such a good job in restoring this old building.

Hepple Hill Cottage is the closest accommodation to the wedding venue

By happy coincidence, Hepple Hill is the closest holiday accomodation to the Byirs, Pow Hill. This new wedding  venue is next door. We are technically in walking distance although it is along an unlit country lane so maybe not ideal after a day of enjoying champagne – in the car the journey is less than 5 minutes.

The Byirs has its first wedding this month and we are very proud to be hosting some guests who are travelling all the way from the West Country.

Hepple Hill Cottage and Edmundbyers are definitely places to stay for a while and most of our guests book for a week. We are keen to support our neighbours and their stunning wedding venue so 3 night stays at our cottage will be available.
